The Rev. Christopher E. Lake, Senior Pastor
Pastor Chris Lake has been at Tree of Life Lutheran Church since September 1, 2008. Pastor Chris (as he likes to be called) and his family moved here from Geneva, Nebraska where he was the pastor at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church since 2003. Pastor Chris is a native born Texan and received his bachelors’ degree from Texas Lutheran College and Masters of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary. His background includes serving at numerous churches with a heavy emphasis in youth ministry and chaplaincy over the past 10 years. He also has a strong background in computers and worked for a short amount of time as a computer technician for a company in Alvin, Texas before answering the call to serve God as a pastor. In addition to his recent position at Prince of Peace, Pastor Chris was a volunteer EMT with the Geneva Rescue Emergency Medical Service as a captain to a team that was on call every third night. He is certified as an EMT in Texas and takes advantage of opportunities to work with local EMS agencies. His hobbies include reading, photography, small electronics, trap shooting, golf, and playing guitar, mandolin and bass guitar.
Pastor Chris and Katherine have been married for 13 years and have three children: Madeline age 8, Benjamin age 6, and Ainsley age 4. Katherine is a teacher with certification in Texas and currently is at home raising Madeline, Benjamin, and Ainsley.
